 This is pretty much the exact reaction I get when I say that I’m a history major, only with an added subcategory for ‘Oh so you plan on never having a job then?’ And replace ‘English’ with ‘history’ in the red bracket of course.

But add in stuff about how I don’t have a “real” major and that my classes must all be easy, despite the fact that they’ve admitted themselves they couldn’t take classes based on literary criticism, paper writing, and reading comprehension.

Basically there’s some serious sexism going on here. Liberal Arts is a soft, feminine, girls’ college, whereas Engineering & Science is tough and manly! So even if you can’t do liberal arts, it’s still “easy” and “not real”. Fuck all y’all.

“So… you’re going to be a teacher?” should be something like 98% for me. Annoying as fuck.
